About Us

Artist Take is a non-profit organization committed to uplifting and showcasing underserved artists from predominantly Black and minority communities. Founded by artists and led by artists, our platform was created to amplify voices that have long been marginalized and overlooked in the arts industry.

Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and dynamic space where artists can share their work, tell their stories, and connect with broader audiences. We believe that every artist deserves to be seen and heard—regardless of their background—and we are deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the arts.

What began as a blog to spotlight overlooked artists in the business sector has grown into a robust, multifaceted platform. Today, Artist Take proudly supports six active programs: LMNT Poetry, The Popcorn Easel art show, The Funk Before Christmas art show, The Spotlight Verse, and Take One Interviews. Each initiative is rooted in storytelling, driven by community, and designed to elevate diverse artistic voices.
