Get ready, creatives—The Funk Before Christmas artshow is back and bolder than ever! This highly anticipated one-night event brings together artists, musicians, and poets for a high-energy celebration of raw, vibrant creativity in one of Maplewood’s most electric spaces.

Whether you're a seasoned exhibitor or new to the scene, this is your chance to be part of something unforgettable.


✨ What’s New in 2025?

This year’s show introduces exciting additions:

  • Pre-show Artist Mixer (4:00 – 5:30 PM):Connect with fellow creatives and art lovers in an exclusive pre-event gathering to network and showcase work in a relaxed setting before the evening crowd rolls in.

  • "Best of Show" Prize (valued over $200):

    • $100 Cash

    • Free submission to one 2026 Artist Take show

    • Artist Take merch bag

    • Certificate

    • Featured article on artisttake.com(Note: Winner must be present at the show to claim the prize.)


🎨 How to Participate:

1. Table Vendor (Non-Juried) – $45

Perfect for artists selling original pieces, prints, or merch.

  • Includes one 4ft table + one chair

  • Open to all artists

  • No jury process – first come, first served

  • Non-refundable fee

2. Juried Gallery Submission (Open Theme)

Want your work featured in the curated gallery portion of the show? Submit your best pieces for review!

  • $15 for up to 5 artworks

  • $20 for up to 8 artworks

  • Submission is open-themed—show your best!

  • Hangable work only

  • Deadline: November 24, 2025

  • Selected Artists Announced: December 1, 2025

👉 Selection is not guaranteed. Follow all submission guidelines to avoid disqualification.


🖼️ Important Details:

  • Artists must be 18+ and able to travel to St. Louis, MO

  • Previously exhibited works at The Kre8ive Shop will not be accepted

  • A.I.-generated art will not be considered

  • Artists manage their own sales (bring card readers/digital payment methods like Cash App)

  • 100% of proceeds go to the artist—no commissions taken

  • Sold works may be taken by buyers during the show

  • Unsold work must stay until the event ends and can be taken home afterward

  • The art show is one day only

  • Artwork drop-off for selected artists:

    • December 4–6 & 8–10(Specific times TBA)

  • No alcohol, drugs, or food sales allowed

  • Submission fees are non-refundable

  • Failure to follow submission instructions = automatic rejection
